Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, the last heir to the Iranian throne, wrote in a message that a group of Iranian-French lawyers has prepared a report showing that there is no legal obstacle to adding the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to the list of terrorist organizations of the European Union.

Reza Pahlavi also stated that based on this report, which has been shared with several European governments, he invites European authorities to reconsider their current position.

In his message, Mr. Pahlavi further clarified that the IRGC "does not serve to protect Iran or Iranians, but rather is dedicated to the power of dictatorship." He added that adding the IRGC to the terrorist list would be "a strong signal of recognizing realities and supporting my compatriots who are fighting for freedom and democracy in our country."

Since the start of protests in the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement in Iran, the request of Iranian protesters to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization has been increasing among countries worldwide.

Although the United States has previously recognized the IRGC as a terrorist organization, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and EU member states have not officially listed this military entity as a terrorist group, despite a positive vote last December.

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi also stated in a recent interview with the Jerusalem Post that "the fall of the regime ruling Tehran will change the face of the Middle East" and will bring positive changes to the entire region. He described his life's mission as leading Iran to establish democracy, adding that in that case, the region could be vastly different from what it is today.

Reza Pahlavi's remarks were made on the sidelines of the annual Jerusalem Post conference, which was held in New York and attended by hundreds of Israeli and American politicians, senior executives, and major supporters of Israel.

He emphasized that during the 44 years of the current Iranian government's rule, the face of the Middle East has completely changed, and tensions, conflicts, extremism, nuclear threats, and instability in the region are all intertwined with events in Iran.

Mr. Pahlavi, who was invited two months ago as the first senior Iranian figure by the Israeli government on an official visit to the country, reiterated in his recent interview with the Jerusalem Post the same sentiments he expressed during his visit to Israel. He emphasized that Iranians say to the world and especially to Israel: "Unlike the ruling regime, we are not your enemies; we want to be your friends."

During the sidelines of the New York conference, Reza Pahlavi also met and held talks with Benny Gantz, former Israeli Defense Minister and one of the leading figures in the opposition faction of this country.
